rng gating in the endgame is utter bullshit. it took me 5+ months of grinding + over 800 master enig scrolls to get my weap mw'd. some people do it in 1-10 scrolls. some people do their entire goddamn set in 1-10 scrolls too.
there's no good reason to have a system like that, which stops you from progressing any further purely based on rng.
no new content was being added either, in the sense that any new content replaced existing content. no point running old instances when you can skip them all to go knx/xx with your guild.
grinding was rendered pretty much useless when the gold sinks were removed in the transition from p2p to f2p, with the enchant alkahest added to the CS instead of the vendors.
amount of gold generated from dailies shot way the fuck up, but mob drops remained the same.
the endgame pretty much boiled down to doing dailies, circlejerking in town, and spending hours trying to assemble mc parties, or waiting for people to login. none of the content was particularly hard, just, especially after f2p hit, more and more focused towards needing other people to not fuck up, in order to complete it. oh, and the crafting was fuckuseless. EME flipflopped on so many issues + promises, i can't be fucked to play another one of their games, much less restart tera. "we're not ncsoft" -> "we're worse than ncsoft". pvp was a joke. openworld pking was fun for a bit, but battlegrounds have shitty matchmaking. premade of 15+ conjunct? np, 99% chance to queue in against utter newbies. 6 lancers + 4 priests? np, let's stick them all on one team, the other guys obv don't need tanks or healers.
tl;dr, all of the good stuff massively outweighed by utterly pointless kr rng, and that one fuckwit who was responsible for aion sucking ass.
but fuck, it is pretty kawaiidorable. I miss my fluffy daughters. lolifells aren't really on the same tier of nnnngcute as elin are.
