I' think they mentioned in the manga that a shadow clone possesses 10% of the original's chakra. I'm not sure if the distributions are different for other times of clones, such as water, etc..

not rly... gai opened up 6th gate and smashed the shit out of kisame...kisame couldn't even do anything

It was not a clone in the sense that you're thinking. It was a special technique that shapeshifts a person's body, and they are given a certain amount of the person's chakra.

No. What he said was "As long as he's keeping me trapped in this prison, he can't move"
Zabuza can't move because he needs to keep one hand in the prison at all times.

Kakashi also admitted he had been defeated the moment he was caught

Oh ok then. He only got caught in that because he had no idea zabuza could use the move though.
