naruto wants to be hokage but i dont think he will fight for it he dosent want to take it by force he wants the title to be offered for the ultimate acceptance by his piers.

and danzou has been planning this take over for years from pein being a little child working with other nations to make it happen perhaps the lighting ninja coming are to support danzou cause he promised the village in the clouds something special if they help him keep his position

I'm pretty sure they're just trying to track down Sasuke.
Anyway, I doubt Danzo will last long.
