bought a new modem tonight and its been a pain in the ass to get it to work with our wireless router...


I'm at wits end here.


Currently wirelessly connected to some neighbors Internet........(mostly old folks where I live so they prolly wont notice)


Gonna spend all night trying to fix it :/

wich router? I've been through so many got all of them to work I just update mine every month or so lol
and its usually put in cd write down the codes it tells you too for your security it should do everything exept all the linksys' are a little more tricky to install.

Its a netgear router and we just bought a motorola modem.....My brother is able to get on the internet if he directly connects his pc to the modem...And like I said I had to change my settings to wireless and hook up to the neighbors....whereas we both used to use cables to connect to our router..


shits incredibly annoying...we cant connect to the router via entering its IP in a browser adress bar. Its just a big pain in the ass.

LOL ok plug it in to the motorola then enter the cd u got from netgear it may not load so you have to go to computer/right click on your drive and open it then click the netxexe thing. then it all loads from there netgear is really easy to setup. it'll auto be wireless after that/after u entered the WEP key/passcode.
cept with netgear you lose your code your screwed you have to buy a new routers so makesure when u enter it SAVE IT!
