besides... the whole fight between goku and kale was a homage to broly..

the transformation, the changing of colors of the area, the green energy balls, the rage, her tanking a kamehameha, and goku getting his ass whopped.. even to vegeta being dumbfounded

imo the whole ep was just a homage and to show jiren doesnt fuck around

A part of me is leaning very much toward fact that goku has been toying with his opppnents the whole time. Goku knew that killing wasnt allowed in tournament so held back on kamehameha vs kale. They no doubt made her stronger than she should be ssj2 charged goku should be enough. Goku is an idiot but not when it comes to fighting. Way he stepped up to jiren at end with big smirk after seeing what he did is a big indication of how much of his power he has been hiding.we all agree the power lvls have been all over the place during this series which makes it confusing.
