redoing an old sig, but got so far'n.. cant decide which part to use next

1//

pros: render's actually visible. is nice render, but doesnt blend very well. could always just spend more time blending it, but iuno
cons: blocks the bg i rly rly like on the right, light on the sword/scarf mismatch the light source

2//

pros: dude looks more badass. i guess a compromise btw 1 + 3.
cons: kinda.. black ~_~, blocks bg, light still mismatched on right

3//

pros: gg blend, right side complete visible
cons: cant really tell wtf the original render was, but can subtley highlight parts i wan visible i guess.

i dont rly favor sticking a large softbrush/white lightsource over the top of the sig, it sorta.. fades it out too much for my liking
so idk how to justify lighting up the front of his armor in #2/3, since the 3 sources are coming from behind him.

ya i dont really like the soft brush thing either
try making a new layer coloring it black and putting the white highlight in and setting it to linear dodge you might like that better thats how i have been making highlights lately
but keep going try lightening up your render a little bit or somehow contrasting it with the bg idk

edit: btw 2 and 3 are completely unrecognizable

yeah, the black/linear dodge thing is the same thing though, just a little softer accent.
2/3 are unrecognizable compared to the original but standing on their own is still nice i thought =/
they all need work iz.. just idk to base it off which.
'm trying to make it meld in with the bg more, contrast too much sorta.. breaks the flow? iuno how say it. blah.

i played with it a tiny bit like 2 seconds

2 looks more badass like u said
3 is just nono can't see anything
i would go somewhere between 1 and 2
try to keep it dark, but still have the body portion somewhat visible
