yea.. he intentionally let ichigo tie with him that makes perfect sense, just because kenpachi enjoys fighting doesnt mean he's not serious and what do you mean "when did he tie with ichigo" go watch that episode when he fought with ichigo.. not saying zaraki is weak, but no way hes the top

Fine, he did tie, my bad. I was meaning when did he go all out vs ichigo? I didn't see him breaking out his kendo action. If zaraki had used kendo in that fight he would have snapped zangetsu in half.

ichigo didn't use bankai or mask.

actually, the mask did save him a bit i think....it protected him from a fatal wound.

Okay, somethign everybody needs to understand here and isn't that hard to figure out.

Before Ichigo's inner hollow took over, his zanpakuto manifested as zangetsu. That meant that his inner hollow couldn't take control since the power was in favor of the soul reaper side. When Ichigo got his "resolve" or whatever you want to call that giant surge of power he gets when he communicated with zangetsu, that was the same thing as his hollow mask, except he was stronger than his inner hollow at the time so he didn't take over.

So yes, he did use his inner hollow, it just took the form of zangetsu at the time since his hollow hadn't taken control yet.



It did have enough influence to form a hollow mask in his wound to protect ichigo from dieing, but I think that was about the extent of his influence at the time.

becoming hollow makes your movements and stuff harder to predict (spoiler from manga) for soul reapers.......putting on a hollow mask and connecting with zangetsu are two different powers......his internal thingy is just a battle between who's in control... his soul reaper side or his hollow side... what you're saying is a hollow side gives the same powers as a shinigami? no it doesn't......when ichigo puts on his mask and goes bankai, he has the powers of BOTH shinigamis and hollows.... which is better than having the powers of just a shinigami.
