Lol ,believe what you want but tumblr says otherwise ... Do you know how many people tried beating P4 before the anime finished? Know how many people ordered the game JUST because of that anime? do you know how many people cried about spoilers for a 3-4 year old game in the Persona 4 tag on tumblr? There are many people who have seen P3 , Known about P3 and haven't even played it , and yes the movie announcement gave them the initiative to play , perfect example is my friends Girlfriend .
Of course they weren't excited , they had no background information about it what are they gonna be excited about? . But they didn't have to play the game to care , the synopsis of the anime was more than enough to get them to watch it . Main reason Dangan Ronpa has such a huge fanbase in America for a game that isn't even out anywhere else but Japan , visually appealing and the synopsis grabbed people nobody has played the game and they all care lol .
