They go on a school trip to a ski resort where Ami and Minorin get into a massive fight, Taiga who tries to intervine accidently falls off a cliff and is rescued by Ryuuji, shes delirious after the fall and thinks that Ryuuji is Yuusaku and she lets out a deep confession to Ryuuji about how she has fallen in love with Ryuuji (she thinks she is talking to Yuusaku), Ryuuji is shocked and leaves, asking Yuusaku to pretend that he pulled Taiga up from the cliff, because of this incident, Taiga's mother picks her up from the ski trip, here also Ami is pretty much phased out of the series.

It seems to have been made obvious somewhere here, seeing as you could have watched the raw, and not specifying anything, that's infact not an obvious reason it's out.
Took sherlock skills to figure out it's not obvious. I was the first to officially announce it is.
