I started watching One Piece last week, and it's ridiculously slow... but anyways, i'm on episode 189 and I would like to know why the Shandra Warriors have wings on their backs.. ? I'm confused as to why this is...

They explained it.


Because they were in the sky for so long, the humans naturally evolved and got wings on their backs.

Ok... sorry but that doesn't explain to me why BEFORE the island was shot into the sky.. they had wings on their backs... I'm watching the Norland & Calgara flashback eps right now, and Calgara and the other Shandians had wings on their backs ?
