The current active player amount is the highest ever supposively.

Meh, I'm pushing it on cash already for getting a booster box and attending all of the pre-release/launch party events for the new set. Thank god I already have a bit of money down on my GT5 pre-order.

edit: Anyways, I'm out. I'll be on PS3 if you guys need me. Back to only checking my pms for a month. ^_^

maybe since they noobified it and took away casting on the stack

oh wells, people nowadays don't like using their head too much, is much nicer to just bum rush your way through stuff

edit: maybe it was mana burn. my brother gave me false info, I thinkz

I haven't played competitively since it was last cool, which was around the end of 2007 or so.

From what my brother told me, they took away the series of events known as casting on the stack, where instant spells would 'stack' on top of each other then resolve when both players were done casting, piece by piece.

edit: or maybe it was mana burn....either way, simplifying an already relatively simply game was uncalled for

I might've been wrong, my brother told me otherwise on aim a second ago, lol.

He says mana burn was taken away, but not sure about casting on the stack.

o i was gonna say lol

an di wouldnt say the games simple i guess simple to pick up but there are tons of rules and tons of cards that can be played differnt not to mention some of the older cards have differnt text Etc decipering the text of each card is a bitch if the person has never encounterd it

Yugioh uses a similar thing as the stack, it's the only logical way to have cards like that function.

And without mana burn a lot of interesting possibilities open up ^_^

mana burn was there to make sure nubs didnt float tons of mana....

taking it away just simplifies, simplifies

I can't remember the exact reason we quit, but I'm pretty sure it had to do with a lack of time to attend all the interesting events and such, and the ever changing sets with tons of gay new abilities and shit to learn.
