Lava.

It's pretty straightforward actually. Lava is just gooey molten rock, and it can get to be 100,000 times more viscous than water can. It's pretty understandable that it will smother fire in this instance.

They are natural enemies, with lava being the superior. Sakazuki even announces Lava's superiority before his attack, and this foreknowledge makes Ace's sacrifice no less heroic.

Which one is "hotter" doesn't even play a roll. Oh, and even though technically fire is capable of reaching higher temperatures than lava, the fact that ace got burned by Sakazuki most likely shows that Ace's fire can't reach those temperatures.

In terms of the newest chapter. Yeah. Luffy would manage to go out and find trouble. I'm just shocked Zoro stayed out of trouble before Luffy did and that he made it up early enough to enjoy a beer before anybody even go there.

And about Fire vs Magma

You cant burn fire with magma, coz both of them are fire.

yes that may be true. but it could also be true that even though it would have hurt ace it wouldn't killed him if he didn't force himself tangible to guard for Luffy. After all ace doesn't get the full damage because his own fire fends off a lot of it. and Akainu was aiming for luffy at that time and ace got in front of him..



ehh.. i believe it depends on what is burning. it is possible that Ace's body is fire burning from only one source (like oxygen or hydrogen)... so we don't know how hot his fire is or if he could eventually learn to burn w/a different source that burns a lot hotter than what he did. I believe Ace made himself tangible but it is also true that at that moment his fire fruit was inferior to Akainu's magma fruit

about the fire and lava.. well you certainly cant beat coca cola with pepsi but if its coca cola and cocacola company, like in this case, it is indeed possible.

fire is just one ingredient of lava, of course lava is superior to it

uhmm.. jsyk lava is molten rocks.. they aren't fire.. they are just so heated up that they themselves are the source of heat. Lava creates fire yes but it isn't fire + rocks.
