and why were all the captians saying they were strong because they were killing a bunch of gillian? Last I checked anybody like 5th seat and lower could E Z a gillian

not rly.. gillians are pretty tough... i remember aizen had to rescue hinamori, renji, and kira from one.....

also, they showed some of their strength during the fight though... like their powers so maybe they're basing it off that? not only that but they could sense the enormous riatsu coming from them in their masked form

and (at least during the filler) it showed kira and all the lower seats of squad 3 taking out hte gillians in the tunnel, but im not sure how accurate that is because its anime + a filler lol
