Just started reading One Piece, and it's really good!

I'm up to chapter 244.

anyone else read? I recommend this if you haven't.

I actually just finished all of the chapters available, I started reading it awhile ago in the English Jump, then stopped because my friend who gave me the issues only had them up to the beginning of the Baroque Works arc, then continued online until the Skypeia arc, which was my least favorite and caused me to stop reading it for a bit. I did finish it though and liked the subsequent arcs a lot more. There's actually a lot of touching moments in the series, and I like the artwork. Plus the boss fights are sweet.

On a side note chapter 89 of Pastel was just scanned smile.gif

If you haven't read it yet I highly recommend Socrates In Love.

It's a short, 5 chapter work, but it's one of the most heart wrenching and yet at the same time uplifting stories I've ever read.

The manga tells the story of Sakutaro Matsumoto and Aki Hirose, their budding relationship, and Aki's battle with Leukemia. It really is a gripping tale and one that touches the heart.

Just finished Genshiken, a slice of life manga that depicts the lives of the members of the Genshiken club, or the study of visual art and culture. Most of it's members are otaku, people extremely addicted to something (in this case manga, anime, and video games some of which are x-rated in nature). I really won't go into tons of detail but overall the manga was a nice read. Especially in the initial chapters there's no concrete plot, the lives and activities of the members are shown, however in the later sections some of the Genshiken club members achieve their goals, this provides a more solid plot. There's even some romance thrown in for good measure. The pacing of the story may be slow for some (it's 55 chapters long and some of them do drag) and there's a ton of anime/manga/video game references (most of which I didn't get tongue.gif) but Genshiken was an enjoyable read and one recommended to anyone who'd like to read something a bit different from the norm.

just started reading this manga called 'The World Is Mine'

im liking it so far...its kinda weird and hard to understand at times, but once you find the subtle hints here and there it gets pretty damn cool.

Only up to chapter 22 atm.

Synopsis:
Meet Mon, a violent killer faithful only to his own eruptive desires, and his timid companion Toshi, a demolition-devil with a fanatical thirst for destruction. Their killing-spree across Japan is destined to intersect the path of the enormous "Higumadon", a mysterious beast on a Godzilla-like rampage from Hokkaido to Tokyo.
