There's some crazy legend about SSJ and Goku pulls it off and even without proper guidance, just by knowing it's possible, Vegeta is able to transcend to that level before the next fight lol. That's just how shit works and if you've got someone who tells you exactly what to do and it's someone who perfectly understands your physiology, it makes sense that they'd be able to guide you towards being able to ascend fairly quickly. That being said, it's still going to be ridiculous if they go Blue within the course of this 48 minute fight after never having even gone 2 or 3 lol.
