when whitebeard stabbed iceman, (forgot his name), he said "haki user", but he just turned to ice as nothing happened. Does it mean you cant kill even with haki???

why did ace die then when magma can go "through" fire

Haki is always a blunt attack and can't be use for slicing etc... So if you cut a logia in half w/a haki imbued sword it will feel like to them like they just been punched in the stomach. (this is ofc all just my assumption based on seeing haki animated just this last episode.)

e/ the ace dying is pretty controversial some say it is just that fire is smothered by magma. but imo and also the most widely chosen answer is that Ace forced himself tangible to guard Luffy

you were right about fire being smothered by magma....that is the overall idea as far as I can tell

as for the haki thing, I don't remember seeing whitebeard stab ao kiji, but if he did and it didn't do any damage, then he either wasn't using haki or ao kiji had an ice clone?

Why do I say this? Go back dozens of chapters to where rayleigh fought kizaru, and notice how he was able to block his sword with (if I remember correctly) a normal sword

i remember aokiji was stabbed with wb's spear and he said "ohh haki user.." and after that he just turned to ice and was ok ...

i assume that even with haki, you cant kill logia types ..

Two commanders attacked him. I think it was the rose petal swordsman and some other commander whom I can't remember. It wasn't whitebeard, that's certain.

and it was Akainu not aokiji =P
