also how do you do a full system restore on vista? it only lets me do a few days (maybe weeks) back but never the full


windows media player holds vids songs pics
but i'm sure you own a flash drive just throw docs on there its not like they take up shit for space

so can i format C and install Xp on a laptop (a Dell Inspiron 1720) that came with Vista preinstalled?

Do you have a restore/recdovery partition?
If your laptop didn't come with a cd it should have a partition and/or the option to use create Vista restore cd's via the restore manger or something like that, I don't the names since I use XP

Try holding F11 when you boot.
That's the standard hotkey for the recovery partition I think.
