well imo NO..
he is main char but not the stronger.

Main character is always stronger in Shonen.

This man speaks the truth. Besides, even if ichigo falls behind, the artists would probably just make a scene where it shows him training like mad compared to the rest and then come back and make them all go wtfdidhedotogetthatstrong?fuckinghacker. Just like in the soul society arc when he first learned bankai.

Ichigo will be strongest in the end, but atm he is not.

Technically, w/ his Hollow he probably is.
