I get the feeling that people who asks these questions are people who watches american cartoons that barely does intense action/drama/whatnot scenes and do not understand how in depth some anime can be
I mean, the art and scripts for many are really well written that US had to dub most of the anime into english.

One "childhood" anime most ppl can remember, pokemon, dbz, sailormoon and so on
