This completely. Yu yu hakusho was the first one that got me hooked on anime. I'd also suggest ruroni kenshin or the samurai x movies . They are awesome a monks themed, you might like ninja scroll it's a little older but pretty good

If I remember correctly ruroni was more martial arts than superpowers? I'm a little interested in yu yu but a bit turned off cause it's old, thats why i stoped watching Saint Seiya, was/felt too old. However I did enjoy DBZ so if I liked DBZ I might like yu yu hakusho?
