just watched the first episode... korra's uncle is most likely a bad guy... he might be connected to amon/noatak

i don't think he's connected at all, if we get more repercussions from the first book then the story isn't moving on at all

i feel like he's gonna act more like the fire nation from the first series and try to take over the south to "make it better"
