He can be an ignorant ass hat and hate on it all he wants. It's not going to change the fact that we like it. It's the same as if I'd say hockey is a second rate sport, which most of the US only watches every 4 years. Maybe your 6 year old cousin is a fat little kid and that is why he can't play hockey. If a person can create something you cannot reproduce and has found success in it. You have absolutely no right to criticize them.
Calling anime garbage would be like myself saying that country, metal, and rock music is garbage because I like old school rap. Bullshit. Just because I myself am not an artist doesn't mean I can't criticize art that others produce.
And yeah different people have different preferences in art but that doesn't meant that certain art is not better or worse than others. Art can be judged, despite what you and the majority of people may claim.
