yepers, for example ive watched so much ive started to learn japanese from em :P my most impacting ones though were :
Angel beats - It really makes you wonder what happens after you die, is there an afterlife or just a trial before you can move on and attempt life once again
Elfen Lied - This one had such an impact on me words cannot describe it. it was just overall amazing both in the anime and manga
Sora No otoshimono - I can never look at an "angel" the same way again :S
Toradora! - It was just such a romantic story, made me cry a few times :)

Yeah DBZ changed my life forever in fact I feel like a new person. That is the main reason more anime fans need to realize that it is about time to watch your favorite anime dubbed instead of subbed. I also watch YGO and I learned a lot from Yugi and the other characters.
