all about rhythm imo
i've played since sophomore year of high school
i dont really play as much anymore i've never had any interest in band play or anything i just love waking up next to a drumset and starting my day off with the fastest triplets my left hand can still keep up with

along with doom 1 and 2 and keen 4 and commander keen 1 LOL



correct , I've been playing irl guitar 7 years and rock band or guitar hero guitar will actually produce worse habits for you lol

i've only been playing for a year but i've already learned alot and still have alot more to learn.

but yes, its mostly about rhythm

i guess all i can say is at that point you really need to break some bad habits that you've probably developed remember you have 2 feet and 2 hands your right hand is not a metronome and your left is not a accent its about using your entire body in rhythm
the drum set is a weird instrument you learn by playing when you aren't playing
