Honestly I think Sage Mode is what really puts Naruto on par with Sasuke. As much as I hate how strong Sasuke is given the fact he didn't work hard to get there, I can't deny that he's powerful. Contrary to what Lady Chiyo said, it's been proven that the Mangekyo can be defeated 1 on 1. See Hashirama and Madara.

Sasuke did work hard i think, but still he was practically handed all of his actual power by itachi.

Sasuke didn't work hard, he just learning forbidden jutsu by Oroochimaru, he almost died vs Itachi, he didn't die because Itachi had a disease

and he also had a disease, he would't so badly beated because of it

Yeah pretty much. How hard would it have been for Itachi to pull out a kunai and slit Sasuke's throat? Not to mention, if Itachi didn't have that disease there's no way he would have gotten nearly as beat up as he did. Sasuke probably wouldn't have landed many hits on him.

But he basically had all of his power handed to him, starting with the cursed seal of from Orochimaru. He didn't earn his Mangekyo either. Naruto trained his ass off to learn to control his wind chakra and come up with what is arguably the most powerful wind style jutsu.

wrong Sasuke didn't have it hard he knew he must leave Konoha because he was an avenger, so no matter what, he must take the path there gave him strength.
