Luffy was specifically chosen by the "Dark King" Silvers Rayleigh for a 2 year training session. Rayleigh didn't choose Luffy randomly either, Luffy is beyond special.

I would be sorely disapointed if Luffy didn't trash those small fries in anything less than a second or two.

yes but the new world, is supposed to be so much better than the first half, it's supposed to trump it by such a tremendous margin, that none of the pirates of the first half are supposed to make it

luffy isnt just some half assed pirate like the rest
im not suprised if hes on par with the pirates from the new world

I dunno, if luffy really does face this jones guy, I doubt he'd be in a bubble. The bubble wouldn't survive 1 pistol...

From what i read in this chapter, luffy could "coat" his body with a bubble, making him more flexible in the water and giving him the ability to use his devil fruits in a fight.

How else do you want a nice fight in this arc?

Its fishman island, oda will clearly not make a fight on the ground.
