yes they wern't in east blue yet but they were planning to go back which the only way to go back would have been to go through reverse moutain inless they went through the calm belt which as we know is filled with huge sea monsters and calm water
thus they would have broken brooks promise with laboon and seriously they were planning on making it in time to save east blue?
although it didn't happen the fact that they planned to go to east blue is just bullshit

but like I said I LIKED the movie but no matter how you look at it the movie was filler this shiki guy was mentioned for like 4 episodes out of 560 or so and then it is never mentioned again and never before that either
meaning they only wanted to make it seem like it wasn't filler.

I just don't think it deserves a 8.60 on mal's score this movie was no better then naruto shippuden blood prison...only diffrence is blood prison actaully had good villains haha

Erm. Hello? Floating islands? They can go any way they want. And any way you look at it you can't call a movie a filler unless it was aired inbetween episodes.

it's as pointless as a filler...it adds nothing to the story.

btw luffy had decided before shiki had offered to take him there...thus he was still planning to go without the help of flying islands

I havn't seen many movies but here is a example of a movie I wouldn't count as filler
samurai x trust and beytral- it is a story of kenshin's past thus it actaully add's something to the story instead of having a villian who NOBODY will remember doing stuff THAT WILL NEVER BE TALKED ABOUT AGAIN


when it adds nothing to the actaul story and will be completely forgotten it is filler pretty much.

and by filler I mean completely useless animation only meant to be used for making money.
