Actually it's funny you say that. Since I started watching One Piece years ago I've actually started to learn some phrases and words. I can get the gist of what they're saying sometimes. And there's lots of times where I can tell that the subs are a bit off.

Is there an episode this week?

damn that was actually really cool. but not how i expected it to be, it felt like there were many flaws but still good.

the subs are sometimes awful to read due to inaccuracy, but its just based on how the subber interpret the phrases
as far as i know with my knowledge of the language, one phrase in japanese can be said many different ways in english
