yes, the idea is that the stories are similar...but they aren't the exact same. Seed and destiny were far different than 0079 and zeta, even though they were supposed to be new renditions of it. 00 will, most likely, be DIFFERENT than wing too.

And in its difference, I find it to be more of a quality show. Better story, better paced, better voice actors....
