That was when he was fighting Yuhei or w/e his name is the #69 guy. I don't remember him saying about it being kidou based though, only he wanted the squad #5 position because it is a good number or something like that.

he either said it directly or insinuated that he had to call it by a fake name to annoy it into becoming a physical zanpakutou instead of what it actually becomes (kidou being the only other option I would think,) but ya, you're right about the seat 5 thing, he liked the beauty of the number or something gay like that

no.. he just said his zanpakutou was too powerful etc etc... i don't think he said it was kidou based... and the only time where he released it in the series was when he was fighting shuhei at the beginning when zaraki's squad was trying to help ichigo.

yea, that was last night's episode where he said that... he never hinted anything about his release prior to this episode other than it steals riatsu when it slashes someone and that it was really powerful

He did, that's why he can't use it. He said if they ever found out he had a Kidou weapon, he'd be kicked out or something along those lines.
No Kidou allowed in squad 11.

I KNOW he said that this episode, but i highly doubt he said it in the previous episodes which is what we're discussing right now.. i was watching zaraki vs tousen +komamaru and he NEVER said anything about kidou based zanpakutou that episode..

no in the beginning when he was fighting shuhei he mentioned that he calls it by a different name because everyone in his squad "has to have a physical zanpakutou" or else they get mocked or w/e. Then when he was wrecked and they cut away and he came out of the fight all completely fixed and energetic it was kinda obvious what it did. But okay

hm.. you're right, he did mention something like that... the subb'ed version of bleach for episode 53 that i watched prior had really bad subbing and it was hard to see what they were saying lol... they subbed him so that he spoke in broken english =[... it used words like "energy" instead of "kidou" and sentences like "they are an energy type group"... when he was referring to his sword lol...i thought he was speaking bout someone else

but it doesn't mention him calling it by another name at all... that's only for the recent episode

I think those subs were right, back then they didn't really mention kidou so I think it was dumbed down for viewers until it was really introduced later on. But anyways it doesn't really matter, his fight is over with, maybe we'll see him in 6 months or so
