when the sunny pirates disbanded they formed several small factions

this is obviously just one of the smaller factions a group of pirates we haven't met yet

i mean jimbie was captain and then told the crew to do what they want and the crew split into smaller groups of pirates and one of these was the Arlong pirates so its safe to assume Arlong is still in jail and this is just a separate faction that was once apart of the Sunny pirates but a stronger faction seeing they stayed in the grand line to continue there efforts Arlong went to east blue to face weaker opponents

and look at this, what is up with his sunny pirate mark?

exactly my thoughs, as for the mark some of them bare, isnt that the mark from time back in they were slaves? (i remember reading that they modified the mark to look like pirate tattoos)

not sure though, might be wrong too.

the slave mark was modified into the sunny pirate mark.

the arlong mark is different.

the img i posted, the mark on his neck is arlong's, the mark on his stomach is sort of the sunny mark, but it isn't right.

Its a difficult situation all of the arlong pirates had the sunny mark and arlong mark but this man has the original slave mark and an arlong mark

so im thinking this man is proud of his slave ness wearing it like pride showing he survived threw it kinda like jews being proud of the marks nazi would burn onto there skin the numbers and im thinking this man was not apart of the sunny pirates but still greatly respects tiger and im thinking he was not apart of the arlong pirates but when he heard what arlong was doing making humans slaves just like humans were making fishmen slaves he grew great respect and added the mark on his body cause of it and viewed him as a role model

this hatred could be why he chose not to join the sunny pirates because tiger saved humans and fishmen from slavery and he didnt agree with that but he still respect tiger greatly for his acts climbing the red line etc



or we can just use the simplest answer and say arlong is the boss and he escaped from the prison but lost his nose in the process some how

uhmm... how do you know he was a slave?.. the only marks he has is arlong and sunny pirates and then in the middle of the sunny pirates is what seems to be an anti-human mark. ofc that is opinion. as there is no mention of what the center of the sunny pirates mark means. but there is nothing there that would assume that he was a former slave
