with all the subtle undertones showing who they are and how gz they must be, just to be beaten in like 1-3 chapters each without any real backstory or full display of their powers would be retarded imo. If they're the top fighters why wouldn't they get at least as much development/fight time as the midlevel fighters like grimmjow/ulquiorra who are basically just pawns compared to them?

if they were dead they would do this whole big death chapter. halibel might be dead cause they did do a death chapter for her it seemed. but barragan is alive n kickin. all they showed was a smoke cloud which in any anime = alive
