Toriyama already said that humans could never become as strong as Gods of Destruction. Regardless of how strong Goku gets, Beerus could always just erase him from existence if he pisses him off.

I do think Goku is hiding another form, not sure what it is, but it's going to wreck shit when he needs to use it. I'm still not sure how anyone in this tournament besides Goku/Vegeta is going to be anything but cannon fodder though. 18/17 I guess could be pretty strong and Buu isn't completely useless, but the rest are just laughably weak. Piccolo hasn't been relevant since he fused with Kami and fought imperfect cell. Krillen hasn't been relevant since Dragon Ball, and the same goes for Master Roshi and Tien. Of course I'm optimistic Gohan won't be a complete bitch, but he got wrecked pretty fucking good by one of the weakest fighters in the entire tournament, hard to be optimistic that he'll do all that much.

Well, Goku said something about a new technique of krillin, and they should be using the room of time to train a bit, like they used to in DBZ, is that happens, everyone would wait anything from Goku and Vegeta in the tournament and the hype of new things than a higher kaioken would be nice.

BUT, there's my guess:

Goku and Vegeta will use fusion, and they will win the tournament against other universes, BUT only 1 can stand, so they will fight against each other like back in the majin boo series with majin vegeta

It's teams vs teams, not deathmatch. They even said how team work will be very important. So they probably can fuse but not using potara rings (which would be cheating - like senzu beans?).

I still think they will bring back frieza who will then turn against them, possibly teamed with other universe frieza
