get the 6400 black edition if you plan on spending around 200$ on a processor. thats the highest end dual core amd and the price of that is the avg for dual core intel.

prob like 700-1000
i can use the case i have on my current PC and the monitor so no worries bout that.
just need the components. I'll ask him though I didn't know he's good with comps, I thought Rams was?

both are good, but layath is building one now. I dunno about me though, mine is still good. except for the random hd fails.. lol
