I personally have tried to replicate the drums on that song to no avail. Its tricky business, and I hate learning covers. I'd much rather improvise...

He plays drums in a small combo group.
They play mostly jazz, but they've done YYZ and one other rock song..I can't remember which though 0_o
I think they choose YYZ for the weird time signatures.

Ahhhh....jazz is a very fun drumming style, indeed. Jazz fusion drumming is actually my favorite style to warm up with.

the mind of every animal says one must eat, so the hick becomes obese
the mind of an animal says one must reproduce, so the hick will masturbate
the mind of all creatures desire shelter so the hick will desire land
the mind of a human yearns for truth so the hick drowns out this voice with alcohol

Hicks will many times attempt to disguise their natural affinity for a life with no class by clinging to the music of rebels or the technology of the future
but when a man fails to acknowledge the power of thought he will not escape it and he will be labeled

for he is a hick and he deserves the sad sad life of an animal he will lead
