Why wouldn't you force yourself in writing and get better instead of forcing yourself to do grammar error and not getting any more skills in english?

I'd guess most people are too lazy to actually type out words. Or they can't type fast enough on a keyboard... so they start using these shortcuts. Which is not a real solution.

The rat guy had a secret deal going on with arlong because it was profitable.

Arlong wasn't officially immune from the navy.
