Gantz-- I hear the manga is alot better than the anime sort of thing. I think I saw both seasons a year ago.. Let me think...
Uhm yeah okay so basically the idea is that these people are dead, and Gantz is a program/game that assigns missions every week to either kill or be killed. After each mission depending on how many you killed you get awarded points. Get to 100 points and you can either choose to bring yourself back to life, or bring back a person who has died during the missions.
The main character is a guy, probably alot like you. He doesn't really give a fuck if a homeless guy gets run over by a train, nor is he going to try to do something if a big black dude pulls a bitch into a corner and tries to rape her. But if you call his name like you know him, and make a scene to covince you to help him pull the homeless guy out of the train tracks, he's going to do it not to help anyone, but to save himself from humiliation and vindicate his own image.
And when you give him a gun, he's not going to know how to use it right away, or willing to go trigger happy on strangers, but eventually he's going to learn when to pull the trigger-- he's going to like it, too, because it makes him the hero. He's the best representation of mankind; just pieces of shit looking for reasons to justify what they have to do, and what they want to do.
It's good in a sense that there's nothing else like it. The bad part is the ending is sort of ambigious.
tada.

Hey thanks for all the outlook and taking the time to do all that man

maybe I will continue with it to ep 2 etc
your completely wrong though about how hes kind of like me though, like 100% wrong, I would help a homeless man on the tracks and be yelling out isn't anyone going to fucking help me etc.
and I would have killed that guy raping the girl.
