this is disturbing.. wasn't he supposed to get stronger with each episode and then see the outside world in the last episode
like every other anime?

It's not like you actually see him die.

Maybe he'll cut himself out of the stomache of the titan, or Armin's balls will drop and kill the titan and rescue him (or Mikasa).
I'm already thinking something is up with Eren ever since that dream sequence he had with his father and what looked like him getting stuck with needles.

inb4 he was experimented on with some sort of superhuman juice made from Titan DNA by his Doctor/Scientist father after an accident which would have left Eren dead (from the looks of the dream)
