Perhaps he is not. Because on the first page written "bla bla bla...He stole Kakashi...bla bla bla". Kishimoto created him too skilled - improved sharingan, rasengan, chidori. I think it is not the end.

No one really knows yet. It hasn't been fully confirmed except by naruto saying he can't feel his chakra anymore. I'm sure they will give a full conformation when pain finally gets booted out of the city. He will probably be perma-banned for what he did.

If he is dead, I want to find out more about him and stuff, because Kakashi was a pretty closed character wasn't he.
