im probably gonna drop my phone and tv from my bundle and just go with the 6mbps DL net pack
then get magic jack which is like 20 USD per year for phone

would save me a good 1,000 USD a year

If you don't use your phone much and get good/fair cellular signal in your home maybe consider pageplus?

Cheapest is $10 (100mins) every 120 days so $40 a year. *you can start with a larger amount of mins they carry over*

its sucks hardcore when Highspeed prices where dropping but then they slap a Data cap and get rid of unlimited option almost across all companies
now there is only one place here that offers Unlimited across all there services but then again its like the main provider for the Province ( Canada "EH" ) so i can understand that ( Bigger network, best coverage, been around the longest, etc.. )

Nope. I use like over 300gigs a month from GPS, music, etc. I pay 265 a month for 2 unlimited lines and 3 basic with unlimited text. Never had a slow moment because NYC has a lot of towers set.
