Yep! Gave a character with almost zero motivation, zero buildup, etc. all of the credit for over a decade of storytelling... Fuck. This.
After Naruto v. Pain, he should have been made hokage, then killed Sasuke. Then they could both die in the fight from way back when whats-his-face said "If you fight Sasuke, you will both die". Would have been a gg ending.

anyways...i don't like how black zetsu basically just told naruto his entire plan...that's soo cliche. I, personally, don't mind the twist. i always thought the black zetsu was the worst.

I don't mind a plot twist... But when as children they show the transition of Sasuke from friend to ultimate enemy, he should be the villain. Instead, he suddenly decides to become good thanks some of the powerful Talk no Jutsu. Pain was a great villain. Madara had buildup, a backstory, and even a good place as villain, as much as the arc sucked and gave up all of its potential. Black Zetsu is creepy and evil but to say he created all of shinobi history when he is referenced maybe 100 times in over a decade? I kind of have a problem with that.....

perhaps it has something to do wit his brother, a conflict between them?

my theory, hagoromo and hamura sealed their mother in the moon, then hagoromo took his brother's chakra and managed to split them between his sons indra and ashura.

hagoromo takin his brothers chakra is probably due to some conflict they had, and this lead to parallelism through history
