I don't really see B: happening because it would completely break flow of naruto doing everything himself (or with minor help from his friends) and overcoming hate..

Only other thing I can think of is it has already been inferred (at least by me) that even though the kyuubi half in minato is controllable by him, he seemed like he would be "harder" to tame so to speak

The tone makes it seem to me like they are now quite literally two different entities (which they are, living two separate existences since being split in two, one trapped with minato and one living with naruto)
It could be an interesting point in the plot that if naruto were to have recieved minatos half of the kyuubi that he would of had have formed a bond that took 16 years of "believe it!" to form with naruto's kurama half in a matter of moments, and that would of been unexplained.
With this sudden appearance of the original 6th paths (which I honestly feel most of us expected at one point or another, although I always thought it was going to be to say that naruto was his incarnation to revitalize him on the edge of defeat, but that is a different tangent all together) will bridge the gap of mistrust and hate that minato's kyuubi has toward humans in general.

Of course this could all be bullshit, I can't remember offhand if it was ever decided why minato could control the kyuubi past the point of "its cuz their chakra merged for 16 years via death reaper seal" I would still think of it being a viable story since just because minato can control him and naruto can control the other half it doesn't mean that naruto can control minatos half

Logically, the power of the 9 tails itself is equal to that of a kitten compared to what Madara is throwing around right now. I do not agree at all. The power of sage naruto was stronger than that of the kage. Kyuubi naruto passed everyone normal and kage except 1st and madara. Both halves being fused together while allowing senjutsu to flow through could easily be enough to take madara down seeing as it would probably give him move speed equal to 8 gates gai and the power to accomplish anything
