maito gai die? NEVAR. We are about to see at the very least why he was kept out of the pain invasion as well as why he wanted to chase after orochimaru who seemingly was the cause of the hokage demise.

Minato is clearly around just to mention the speed he is about to witness. Maybe even state who it was who developed the gate technique. Maybe a little flash back about gai being the same as lee(even though he finished the academy at an early age same with making chuunin, not sure about joinin)

Is it possible that gai like the raikage know ninjutsu that benefits his taijutsu but up until now he had no reason to use it since his gates were enough? Cant teach them to lee and he could have learned them before dedicating himself to taijutsu only for lee. He has used ninjutsu when needed too, summoning that turtle.
