pretty sure obito extracted the chakra, the kinkaku bros(aka 9tails), to summon the 10tails. The small one should only have the hot and cold siblings and whomever else the silver/gold bros trapped.

Anywho on the bright side maito gai got his face time that has to allude to the FACT of him going beast! haha

I was thinking they store the extra chakra they produce from 8th gate into those drum things so it doesn't tear their bodies apart
