i think my Lappy idles pretty warm now ( warmer then when i got it about a year ago) near the bottom left corner and the vent is just above that XD it's pretty hot by the vent but thats a given since the heat sink is right there.
i don't have a problem with heat around the keyboard that much even when i'm playing games but it does get warmer in the bottom corner more and my wrist is right there XD makes it a little uncomfortable using the keyboard for gaming but i've gotten used to it now.
