It's stated in the official bleach databook that Kenpachi's sword is in permanent shikai. Because his sword has no seal on it, oh and he also said that in the anime, that the sword is in its true form cause he put no seal on it.

Yes, it's in permanent Shikai, but that still means he should have some ability to use (like Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou) once he learns his swords name.

Zaraki will probably end up learning some way to channel his reitsu through his sword instead of trying to seal it like most people, simply because he can't possibly seal all of his spirit force; this will happen once he learns his swords name.

Newest manga was meh..fight's over and the ending was lame. Two hands? That's all the could offer us? Says a new enemy appears before Ichigo and the others. Obviously is #4 coming back from Grimmjow's little trick.

well the good thing is its finally over somehow sad that he defeated him only with kendo, but still, wanna read what happens next

Loved this chapter, pretty sad ending to Nnoitra too. At least we now know why he hated Nel so much...

i feel the same way. I really felt this was the absolute best time to have ken call upon his sword for help.......And c'mon shouldnt everyone in bleach already know kendo?!
They r all supposed to b master swordsmen, so dont they all know it?
This is like watching a jackie chan movie, and when jackie starts getting his ass kicked, "oh wait, let me bust out my kung-fu." Like he wasnt already doing that.

I get that the author was trying to do something comical w/kenpachi, to show that hes so insanely strong that even when confronted w/a stronger force than him, with his eyepatch off, he just has to use two hands to win.

But compare that to a scene where kenpachi absolutely destroys the espada w/some new attack via the name of sword, like a crazy version of ichigo's getsuga tenshou, and it starts to feel like a missed oppurtunity.

But there is a silver lining.
Kenpachi and ichigo r now stuck together, and they may have to rely on eachother.
I could see ichigo trying to help kenpachi become more powerful just to help them survive.
I know its crazy to think that ichigo could overcome his fear of kenpachi to suggest that he help him learn bankai, and that kenpachi would even except, but if there is ne1 he would let help him, its ichigo.
Hey, and mebbe yachiru just immediately destroys #4 with her bankai, that would b neat too.
