No again from what ive seen/heard from gai in this war i dont think he would be that selfish or emotional. Gai is probably the most reliable konoha has to offer

Danzo would of killed him from internal injuries if Karin had not healed him
Sasuke has yet to do ANYTHING by himself..
As much as I do not like him, watching madara bend sasuke over and Find him in the Alps.. it wouldn't be much fun

the story says 8 gates temp makes you stronger than a hokage not KAGE therefore 1-4 someone in their time used it and was stronger ill take gai being stronger than any of them. NP If its the 1st well way to go gai take care of 10tails!

The story said "stronger than a kage." And even still, when this technique was introduced, the series had not yet reached mountain-busting levels. The 8 gates isn't even all that great. You use it, and then what? You either finish off your opponent in the allotted time that you have and then die yourself or you fail to finish off your opponent and die anyway. Seems like a technique that costs the user his life isn't a good technique at all. And we all know Gai + 8 gates is your favorite and you don't like Kakashi because he is "weak," etc.

Have to agree with this. I have a feeling that the 8 gates' opportunity to be in the limelight has passed. Unless of course Gai is going to activate it, defeat the Sage of the Six Paths somehow, die, and become the hero of Naruto's series.

I wouldn't say that the 8 gates was overhyped. I recognize that it grants an enormous amount of power temporarily. I'm sure that's great and all, but how good is it really when it costs the user their life? I'd much rather just use kage-level techniques like Kamui that DON'T require your life as tribute.
