It's a good thing Naruto surpased Jiraiya because I would have hated to see him fight looking like a fucked up half breed of some sort.

I doubt Naruto is really stronger than Jiraiya. Jiraiya was fighting w/ practally no info on Pein, and Pein himself said that if jiraiya had figured it out earlier, he would have won easily.

Jiraiya was stronger than naruto simply beacuse he has over 30 years experience on naruto

I think he means we was able to control and learn how to use the sage chakra better. Then again, who knows, if Naruto really crushed that Pein this hist fist in like 5 seconds maybe he is.
