Say I punch someone in the nose and his nose starts to hurt. There isn't any proof that his nose hurts because I punched him. The two things COULD be completely unrelated.
Kakashi has show intelligence, versatility, strength, agility, and stamina. All of these things are important in a 1v1 battle. Having all of these things is overwhelming in a 1v1 battle. Other characters have shown these traits in 1v1 battles and been deemed strong because of it. Kakashi, however, has not had a 1v1 battle, so there is no PROOF that these traits (which have been clearly demonstrated in the battles I mentioned) make him a good 1v1 fighter.
See with your comparison kakashi doesnt actually throw the punch but seems like the best option to throw said punch. Its all good and well but number 1 draft picks fail all the time. Yes they have shown it in battle therefore they have actually done it I give them their credit :).
Chouji or Gai or Lee they all did a power up chouji scared an entire war yet didnt accomplish shit NO FEAT. Gai scared oversized animals that probably only felt that fear for the large animals or 8tails NO FEAT. Lee went all out with gaara made kakashi acknowledge him maybe even neji he loss.... NO FEAT. Kakashi gets praised yet so Feat? Nah

The second created a Jutsu(maybe even 2 dunno if ftg is his) that made this war possible for one side basically. He delivered the final blow to the strongest Uchiha(MS he definitely had it) of his time. He actually became hokage Featsssss. Kakashi almost being hokage nahh no feat neither danzo as acting hokage. You see the difference? things were done sure toss in kakashi raikiri that sasuke seemed to take further haha.
Kakashi being top tier Nope not even close he still seems to have a stamina issue for probably his greatest asset which is the sharingan. Tier 3 is a good place for him and honestly without obitos eye he probably wont ever make it to tier 2.(YES FOLKS this is speculation)
This isnt even from a 1 v 1 standpoint kakashi as a ninja yes he is above average all around but he has to compete with people like itachi madara izuna 3rd hokaes minatos sasukes narutos 3rd raikages i am even tempted to say chouji just based on the shock he gave an entire battlefield. The dude simply seems like neji grown up!.

Also, I respectfully disagree that the 3rd raikage is in the same league as any of the hokage, even Minato. Naruto was able to defeat the raikage using his speed to make the latter hit himself. Naruto is like a carbon copy of Minato. I just think that given what we know, any of the hokage WOULD kill the 3rd raikage.
I agree. And I firmly believe that Naruto and Sasuke will be the most powerful characters in the series pretty soon, actually. It looks like we'll still get a long deathmatch from those two given that we've been given hints that Sasuke has ill-intentions. I hope it pans out.
Naruto defeated the 4th raikage in a battle of speed not fight. Lee was faster than gaara he loss speed isnt everything. This 3rd raikage took narutos rasenghan shit like nothing(or did he dodge it i forget atm) what is minato going to do lol death god seal him for the win? On naruto forums the minato haters enjoy attacking minato on what they deem as his inability of a strong finisher. Hence they have it where some people think kimimaro would be able to stand a good chance against him. Muu and 2nd Mizi cant be top tier because they are equals and madara clearly shits on MUU.
