On another note, I wish the Anime would catch up to the Manga a bit quicker.
Seems to drag on for ages . . . .
Some scenes in the Anime are either much much quicker or much much shorter compared to the Manga.

But I guess it's aimed at a variety of viewers.

I think that atleast  4 and below are vast lords, maybe 6 and below.  Saying that ulquirra isn't stronger than a captain would just be retarded         He didn't even have to use his sword when ichigo used 100% of his power in a getsuga tenshou, and didn't even take any damage from it.



I don't think we could count Nnoitra out of vast lord category.  We couldn't really see him fight vs a regular captain.  He was busy getting 1 shoted by zaraki.
